MMofA: Film Series- Surviving Picasso

In this MMofA film series, join us for a movie night meant to get your creative juices pumping. On Tuesday nights through the summer we will be screening Artist biopics and documentaries featuring some of the greats. Admission is pay what you can. Show starts at 6 p.m. Free popcorn. Beer and wine by donation. 6/27 – Surviving Picasso Starring Anthony Hopkins, Natascha McElhone,and Julianne Moore; this passionate Merchant-Ivory drama tells the story of Francoise Gilot, the only lover of Pablo Picasso who was strong enough to withstand his ferocious cruelty and move on with her life.

Picassos for PP

Cost is $35 (+ tax)/ person and includes art supplies, instruction, appetizers, and entertainment.

BYOB. Guests will be given 4 subject options (2 female figures and 2 male figures) to choose from upon arrival. The sketch will be transfered to the canvas and instruction will be given on how to create an expressive, elegant and unique abstracted figure. NO ARTISTIC EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!! At the end of class, prizes will be given to the person with the most likes and shares on instagram using the hashtags: #picassosforpp and #marneepaintparty RESERVATIONS REQUIRED!! ART BLAST SUMMER ART CAMP at MMofA

Art Blast Summer Art Camp registration is now open! With classes for 4-7 year olds, 8-11 year olds and 12 and up, there is truly something for everyone in the wide variety of art offered throughout the summer. Ceramics, painting, and drawing in all styles inspire students to energize their creativity, while learning about elements of art and art history.  The camp will run from June 12th through July 28th.
