Members of the Tristan de Luna Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be at the Local History and Genealogy Division from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. to assist you with your questions and research for documentation concerning your ancestors.

On August 21, the moon will pass between the earth and the sun. Come find out what you need to know to be ready for this exciting event. Martin Fanning, amateur astronomer and astrophotographer, will discuss why eclipses happen, what to expect, and how to safely view the eclipse. Mr. Fanning has been President of the Mobile Astronomical Society since 2012. Registration is not required, but strongly encouraged. The Reptile Scales & Tails program is 45-50 minutes long and features 5-6 live animals including a large tortoise, lizards and of course snakes. There will be two programs with a short break as well as "meet and greet" during the event.

Art Blast Summer Art Camp registration is now open! With classes for 4-7 year olds, 8-11 year olds and 12 and up, there is truly something for everyone in the wide variety of art offered throughout the summer. Ceramics, painting, and drawing in all styles inspire students to energize their creativity, while learning about elements of art and art history. The camp will run from June 12th through July 28th.
