Have you always wanted to bring your dog to Bellingrath Gardens? Now is your chance: The Wiggle Waggle Rescue Run on Saturday, May 6, which will benefit the Animal Rescue Foundation. All runners and walkers who sign up for the Wiggle Waggle race events, a 5K and a 1-mile walk/run, will receive a discounted admission of $5 to the Gardens for the day, and their family members and friends will receive discounted admission prices of $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12. As an added bonus, dogs will be allowed to accompany their owners in the Gardens for a $5 donation benefiting ARF until 10 a.m.! Bellingrath’s Pet Motel will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis for visitors who wish to enter the Gardens without their pets. To sign up, visit bellingrath.org.

Join us for activities for all ages! There will be creative projects to make in the Storytime Room for the younger members of your family, and Tech Time in the Mayker Lab for 12 years old and up. Attendees will have a chance to view the museum's permanent and special exhibits, including an iron lung, human skulls and skeletons, antique surgical and x-ray equipment, and eerily lifelike pathological models in glass jars. If it isn’t too late: Sunny Side Theater presents “The Wizard of Oz” April 28 - May 7 at the Moorer Center for Performing Arts on the St. Luke’s campus. The classic tale based on the 1939 movie features all of your favorite characters and songs. The characters will take to the air as Vertigo Flying Company comes in from Chicago to help them create the magic you remember from the movie. With over 70 of Mobile’s most talented young actors and actresses ranging from ages 5 - 18, this show will be the perfect family outing.

Bcyorchestra.com Baldwin County Youth Orchestra Announces Concert The Baldwin County Youth Orchestra, Baldwin County’s first and only full symphony orchestra, will present their 8th annual Spring Concert on May 6th, 2017. The concert will take place at the Gulf Shores Cultural Center, 19470 Oak Rd at 7 PM. The concert will include a variety of ballet and dance pieces and will feature dancers from the Eastern Shore Dance Academy. Admission is free and a pre-show fundraiser dinner will take place at the venue at 5 PM. Tickets for the dinner and more information is available online at bcyorchestra.com.
