Snowbird Special at Bellingrath Gardens and Home

Save on Gardens-and-Home combination tickets with Bellingrath’s Snowbird Special, a discount for all ages in January and February. With the Snowbird Special, an adult Gardens-and-Home ticket costs $16.50 (regular price: $21) and a child Gardens-and-Home ticket costs $11.50 (regular price: $13). There is no admission fee for members of the Friends of Bellingrath, or for ages 4 and younger. GulfQuest Maritime Museum: SHIPWRECK! Pirates & Treasure

Odyssey Marine Exploration has discovered hundreds of shipwrecks across the globe. The artifacts, treasure and knowledge recovered from these fascinating time capsules provide a unique opportunity to share the excitement of shipwreck exploration in various exhibit venues. This interactive multi-media exhibit features over 500 artifacts recovered from deep-ocean shipwreck expeditions around the world. Visitors are also immersed in the technology and process Odyssey uses to find and recover shipwreck treasures. Hours: Wednesday through Friday 9am - 4pm, Saturday 10am - 5pm

“Behind the Mask”: Honoring Ellen Jones- Call to Artists

You are invited to participate in the 1st Annual "Behind the Mask" Silent Auction and Retrospect honoring Ellen Jones.  This will take place on August 18, 2017... But before then, artists are needed who would like to use creativity in designing a mask for the silent auction.  Each artist participant will recieve a numbered mask form and an arts and craft item from Ellen's art studio to include in their Mask Creation. Winter Wednesdays at Bellingrath Gardens and Home

Even during the cold season, Bellingrath Gardens is filled with blooms and beauty! During the winter months, Gulf Coast residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the Gardens and to learn more about gardening and history at our Winter Wednesdays workshops. The sessions are held each week in the Magnolia Room from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. through Feb. 22. Admission to the program is included in the regular Gardens admission, and guests are encouraged to tour the Gardens after the session. MPL: Learn to Knit Class

Learn to knit with Ms. Wilhelmina Davis. Participants need to bring their own supplies. We recommend size 10, 10” long needles and a 7 oz. skein of regular, worsted weight yarn. Registration is required. Ages 8- adults.

USA Music: Travis Jones, Faculty Flute Recital

Travis Jones will present a faculty flute recital entitled “F is for Flute” on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center. The theme of the program will feature composers whose last names begin with the letter “F” and will include works by Gabriel Fauré, Brian Ferneyhough, and César Franck.  He will be joined on stage by USA faculty pianist Dr. Jasmin Arakawa.
