Save on Gardens-and-Home combination tickets with Bellingrath’s Snowbird Special, a discount for all ages in January and February. With the Snowbird Special, an adult Gardens-and-Home ticket costs $16.50 (regular price: $21) and a child Gardens-and-Home ticket costs $11.50 (regular price: $13). There is no admission fee for members of the Friends of Bellingrath, or for ages 4 and younger. Join us for our third event in our Film Series II: Modern Directors Mini Marathons series featuring Michel Gondry! Admission is pay what you can, and there will be free popcorn. We’ll start at 11 am with THE ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND followed by THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP at 12:45 pm, and we’ll finish with BE KIND REWIND at 2:45 pm.

The Mayker Lab is on the second floor of the Library. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with new arrival Marilyn, she tries to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of oneupmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden. High school students who attend the eighth annual University of Mobile Honor Band 2017 have two unique opportunities – to earn a college scholarship and to perform the world premiere of an original work for band, conducted by composer Steve Dunn. UM Honor Band is a three-day musically challenging and inspiring high school band program set for Feb. 9-11, 2017, on the University of Mobile campus. High school band instrumentalists are invited to apply and band directors may nominate students for UM Honor Band by Nov. 21. Application and nomination forms, along with additional information about the program can be found here. Students earning first chair will be awarded band scholarships to University of Mobile. UM Honor Band is directed by Dunn, assistant professor of instrumental music at UM and internationally recognized composer. Guest clinician is Christ Neugent, director of bands at Spain Park High School in Hoover, AL. Neugent’s bands have received Superior ratings at contests and festivals in every area of area of performance – symphonic, marching and jazz. UM Honor Band will present a concert at the conclusion of the program. Also, students will hear performances by UM ensembles including RamCorps, Symphonic Winds, Welsh Revival and the UM Jazz Band. All performances are free of charge for students, band directors and chaperones.
